We are working on a new system: an app for athletes and a portal for photographers.
An app will be used by athletes to search photos, share photos on social media and connect with your friends and clubmates. Anyone will be able to take pictures from the app for particular event, and be a photographer for friends. Once photos are processed, they will be availabe to share for FREE with friends and clubmates. If somebody took photo of you and you are not a friend, there will be an option to buy this photo, several photos as a pack or subscribe for photos for some time, e.g. for half a year of high season.
Photographers will be able to contribute to any available for them event. Also photographers will be able to see analytics on their photos and validate money received for their photos.
New technology as well as business model can reduce cost for athletes, photographers and race directors.
For Athletes
Some people do one event is a lifetime, some people once a year, some – several a month. Different type of athletes have different preferences and demands, while in many cases they receive same offers. It is not a surprise that it create a dissatisfaction with price, offer itself or photo quality. We believe that price can be reduced using new technologies as well as new business model, e.g. showing short ads in the app. But more importantly is that often photos are available already for free, you just do not see them.
For Photographers
How much time did you spend on tagging athletes or managing photos? We believe that technologies can solve it for you, so you can spend more time taking photos. Also higher quality photos should be priced higher, but currently there is no way you can show a difference in quality.
For Race Directors
Social media is one of the best way to advertise you events. And when athletes are happy, they are happy to do it for you. Posting photos from your events is a easy way to increase pageviews and ultimately brand awareness.
